Autopilot Bringup Elle0
Before you start playing with hardware, make sure you have installed the software and you know how it works. For that follow the Paparazzi Installation and Paparazzi Basics tutorials.
- Unpack your autopilot
- Make sure everything is in the package
- Make up cables if you don't have them yet
- Test that the board is powering up
- Test flashing your own firmware
- Test you can receive telemetry by connecting the autopilot directly to your laptop
- Test that the radios can communicate with each other
- Test that you can receive telemetry using the radios connected to the autopilot
- Test that the autopilot IMU is working
- Connect RC control to your autopilot
- Test that the RC signals are arriving and are the right assignement
- connect test servos and see if the commands are controling the servos
- Start building your aircraft after all the above was done on your bench
