A couple of "solutions" have been posted about this on the mailing list. One option was to reset the Xbee modem every 5 minutes. Though that is a work-around, it is a questionable one at best.

Another option sent only the minimal telemetry on a regular basis for a smooth GCS view and all other messages at 5 second intervals. But it seems that this approach will be somewhat an invasive change to the code base.

I (Buzz from CheBuzz Paparazzi) have an 868 module for any developer who needs one to work on.
